Create Your First Assistant

Assistants are the heart of Somara. They're AI agents you configure with specific behaviors, knowledge, and personalities.

Basic Settings

• Name - How you'll identify the assistant
• Description - What it's designed to do
• Avatar - Visual representation (optional)

System Prompt

The secret sauce. This tells the AI how to behave, respond, and what persona to adopt.

Example system prompt:

"You are a helpful writing assistant. You help users improve their writing by suggesting edits, fixing grammar, and enhancing clarity. Always be encouraging and explain your suggestions."

Model Settings

• Model - Choose from available AI models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
• Temperature - Controls creativity (0 = focused, 1 = creative)
• Max Tokens - Maximum response length

1. Go to Assistants in the sidebar
2. Click + Create Assistant
3. Fill in the name and description
4. Write your system prompt
5. Configure model settings
6. Click Create

• Be specific in your system prompt
• Include example responses when helpful
• Test with real use cases
• Iterate and improve over time
